New Wing

New Wing

PLEASE JOIN US AS WE RECOGNIZE ALL THOSE
WHO HAVE MILITARY ITEMS IN THE MUSEUM.

The Museum opened its New Wing, which doubled the size of the Museum, at our Members Annual Holiday Party. Our Advisory Board Member Ron Rosser, Medal Of Honor Recipient, cut the ribbon with the help of Dewey Stokes, former Franklin County Commissioner, who help fund the new wing, and Don Jakeway, 82nd Airborne jumped in D-Day WWII. The wing is now open to the public, and the official grand opening of the wing will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 10:00 am, Memorial Day weekend.

What will make this event unique is the fact that many of those attending will be veterans of WW II, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, and other conflicts. These are individuals who are featured in displays in the new wing and elsewhere in our Museum. Visitors will be able to actually meet these living historical figures. Please check our social media for updates as they become available.

Take this opportunity to honor and speak with many of the heroes that made history defending our country allowing us to live in freedom.
